DESCRIPTION:Choose Paint! Choose Abstraction! launches the Museum of the African Diaspora's Curator's Choice exhibition series by featuring nine Bay Area artists who have helped define the West Coast abstract art movement. Dr. Lizzetta Le-Falle Collins, organizer of the first exhibition, has chosen more than thirty five paintings by Robert Colescott, Mary Lovelace O'Neal, Mike Henderson, Joan Brown, Dewey Crumpler, Jay DeFeo, Arthur Monroe, and Squeak Carnwath. The exhibition is on view from March 23 to September 23, 2012.
