KQED Member Day at the Asian Art Museum
Join KQED at the Asian Art Museum on Thursday, April 10, 2014 to view a new exhibition, Yoga: The Art of Transformation, the world's first major art exhibition exploring yoga's fascinating history and its transformation into a global phenomenon. On view through May 25, the highlights include stunning masterpieces of Indian sculpture and painting; pages from the first illustrated book of yoga postures; and a Thomas Edison film, Hindoo Fakir (1902), the first American movie ever produced about India.
KQED members plus one guest (total of two persons per KQED MemberCard) can enjoy free admission on Thursday, April 10, when they present a valid KQED MemberCard and photo ID at the entrance. The museum is open from 10am to 9pm. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
