KQED Summer Fun Adventures at the Lawrence Hall of Science
Join KQED at the Lawrence Hall of Science from July 29-August 4, 2013 on a quest to build the future in the Design Quest exhibit, open daily from 10am-5pm. Create unique moving sculptures with motions determined by a lever system you design, tell stories through stop-motion animation, build flying machines and try them out in vertical wind tubes, test model cars, and design bridges. Come up with ideas, build prototypes and see if your designs rise to the challenge -- just like a real engineer. Celebrate summer with special Summer Fun Day events every Wednesday from noon to 2pm through August 14, 2013. More information at lawrencehallofscience.org. On Wednesday July 31, do ocean related activities and catch a free showing of Great White Shark 3-D.
Admission: $6-$12, 3 years and younger, free. Show your KQED MemberCard for one free child admission with paying adult.
