How can understanding sound help us better understand our environment? Join SFUSD and KQED Education for a free professional development series focused on the powerful world of sound and how it affects our environment. Participants will learn how to guide their students in:
- Understanding the purpose of sound in nature
- Building an awareness of and appreciation for the nature in their schoolyard
- Applying the use of technology to enhance science observations and answer meaningful questions
- And, recording, editing and mapping soundscapes
