Only a Signal Shown: Video Exhibition (Week #5)
Southern Exposure's video exhibition, Only a Signal Shown, presents the work of over twenty-eight local, national, and international artists through five one-week projects. Each week's program includes up to five simultaneous large-scale immersive video projections, drawing from different themes, including experimental narratives, humorous performative works, plays on leisure time, and cultural memory and history. Many of the artists included in Only a Signal Shown don't typically work in video, making this exhibition an opportunity to see a distinct side of their work. Week #5, curated by Taraneh Hemami, includes work by international artists exploring issues of cultural memory and history.
