Meet the Cat in the Hat at the San Francisco Library
Join KQED and the San Francisco Main Library for a celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America! This family-friendly event will include a magical slapstick-comedy show from Buki the Clown and door prizes! Representatives from the Golden State Warriors will read from Dr. Seuss books, and the ambassador of reading himself, the Cat in the Hat, will come out to meet everyone. Bring your sense of adventure and a camera! This event is free and open to the public.
Can't make this event? Don't worry, because the Cat will be at two other locations
- Wednesday, February 27 at the San Mateo Main Library
- Saturday, March 2 at the San Francisco Zoo
And don't miss two brand new episodes of PBS KIDS's acclaimed series The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! The back-to-back premieres will air Friday, March 1 from 8:30 to 9:30am on KQED 9 with an encore presentation from 10:30 to 11:30am on KQED Plus. Check broadcast times.
