Educator Workshop: KQED Arts Integration at RAFT in San Jose
Join KQED Arts Education for an arts integration workshop at RAFT (Resource Area for Teachers) in San Jose.
In this highly interactive workshop we'll find ways to inspire our
students into creating art with recycled materials --while reinforcing
our core curriculum. We'll use KQED Spark videos about local Bay Area
artists who work with themes of identity and culture, and discuss how we can use
these free videos in our teaching.
Specifically, we'll explore how to help our students: discuss and/or
write personal reflections about the artists' work, and create art that is
inspired by the artists featured in the videos.
This workshop will be taught by Elizabeth Brooking, a teacher at Wilson Elementary. It is open to educators in grades K-8.
