Deities, Demons, and Dudes with 'Staches: Indian Avatars by Sanjay Patel is currently on view at San Francisco's Asian Art Museum. An illustrator and Pixar animator, Patel's art can be described as pop culture interpretations of Hinduism. The exhibition fuses traditional and pop imagery as Patel reinterprets the maharaja for an audience of all ages and backgrounds. The museum has extended evening hours on Thursday until 9pm, but will be closed early for special events on Thursday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 30.
